Another installment in my intermittent series on the ‘common’ species. They don’t come much more common than a goldfinch on thistle.

American Goldfinches aren’t supposed to be insect eaters but apparently this male didn’t get the memo.

I suppose yesterday could be called a comedy of errors but I didn’t think it was funny.
