Two days ago at Bear River MBR I photographed a young juvenile Sandhill Crane at a stage of development I’d never documented up close before. (2 photos)
Yesterday morning on my way to Bear River MBR I mused out loud about visiting another area in Utah where I’ve had interesting experiences with Sandhill Cranes, even though I thought it was likely too early to have a good chance of seeing them now. But I was in for a delightful surprise.
Photographs of wildlife in wilderness have special meaning for me. If I’m aware that an image was taken in a truly wild setting it changes the context in a positive way.
