Yesterday morning I found another pair of nest-building Red-tailed Hawks. Neither bird is a rufous color morph (like the female in the pair I’ve been photographing recently) but they’re still great photo subjects and I was able to document several interesting behaviors.
If you’re getting tired of photos of the rufous red-tail please bear with me. These photos were taken yesterday morning and one of them is among my favorites.
I rarely post photos of the same species two days in a row but yesterday I spent more time with magpies and I like these two images well enough to make an exception. More than well enough, actually.
Due to my recent surgery I hadn’t been out shooting for over two weeks but when I saw there was a possibility for decent light yesterday morning I decided to give it a go. If felt good to be “out there” again.
