Chipping Sparrow, Sage Thrasher and Northern Mockingbird. And it’s an attractive perch too so at first glance one might assume these photos had been set up. They weren’t.
There are no easy answers for the dilemma of barbed wire and its effects on wildlife and even domestic animals, especially if you’re a farmer or rancher. But we can certainly improve our track record if we realize there’s a problem. A big one.
Fourteen minutes condensed into eight photos to be precise. These are behavioral images and none of them are great shots but I think most of us here on Feathered Photography appreciate interesting behaviors at least as much as we do “pretty bird photos”.
This species is the only truly migratory gnatcatcher so I expected ours to be gone by now but yesterday morning they were still around in good numbers.
