Sometimes I find things that are disturbing when I finally get around to looking more closely at some of my photos. Thankfully it doesn’t happen very often but that doesn’t make it any easier when it occurs.
Yesterday morning I spent some quality time with the rufous female Red-tailed Hawk I’ve posted images of in the past. The two of us are becoming old friends.
This was another instance where I didn’t know what I’d photographed until I reviewed my images at home. That happens often with hummingbirds because they’re so incredibly fast.
I’ve photographed a variety of songbirds, wading birds and raptors throwing pellets but yesterday was the first time I’ve been able to document a wren of any species exhibiting the behavior.
