There’s a fantastic and brand new resource out there for serious students of birds from John Hopkins University Press and it contains three of my bird photographs so I hope you’ll allow me a little horn tootin’ today. Let’s have a closer look at this massive new book.
I’m sure this juvenile Osprey worked hard for the fish but what looked to me like a rookie mistake cost it a meal.
And this time she did it so well she eventually quit walking and simply flew the last leg of it.
And both of them were in or very near Montana’s Centennial Valley. I’ll bet some of my readers already know what species constructed them.
If I remember correctly, and I believe I do, what this bird was really coming in for was a fight.
Fourteen minutes condensed into eight photos to be precise. These are behavioral images and none of them are great shots but I think most of us here on Feathered Photography appreciate interesting behaviors at least as much as we do “pretty bird photos”.
