Lots of action involving three raptors of two different species and there I sat with a new camera whose buttons and dials were unfamiliar to me. Talk about pressure to learn a new camera! (8 photos)

Yesterday morning I had more problems with differential heat waves? at Bear River MBR. If this keeps up I’m thinking about taking up knitting instead of bird photography. After all, the world needs another Rosey Grier. (6 photos)
In 2021 I didn’t photograph my first bird of the year until January 9 but that particular bird was (mostly) worth the wait.
I love getting our shaded Wasatch Mountains in the background when I’m photographing Bald Eagles in flight.
Yesterday while reviewing my older photos I made a double discovery in a short Bald Eagle flight series – a photo I like very much that I didn’t know existed and a mystery.
Photographers and other artists definitely are NOT at the mercy of publishers and other consumers of their work. At least they don’t have to be.
