Last year in this general location in the mountains I could only get harsh sidelight on the feeding nuthatches but yesterday morning I had a great light angle. It made a big difference.
It’s been two years since I’ve posted images of this species but yesterday morning at Farmington Bay WMA I had some luck with them (yes, the gate at Farmington is now open).
Plus… Is backyard bird feeding comparable to the unethical and often illegal practice of baiting raptors? Yesterday’s post caused at least some confusion on that subject so I’d like to set the record straight.
